Opportunities for Co-management

Cullom Eye & Laser Center would like to take a moment to thank you for your support.  We appreciate your confidence.

This past year has brought many exciting changes to the Cullom Eye & Laser Center- changes that include a new refractive facility, new procedures as well as exciting upgrades of technology. These changes support our philosophy of “no compromise” in providing the best and most up to date refractive surgery options for our patients.

After careful consideration, we have introduced two new refractive procedures.  We are using Conductive Keratoplasty to treat presbyopia with radiofrequency energy.  We also offer Refractive Lensectomy or clear lens exchange for patients that desire to reduce their dependence on glasses but may not be good LASIK candidates because of high amount of Hyperopia or pre-cataract lens changes.

A major improvement to our lasik procedure is the introduction of the 3rd generation IntraLase femtosecond laser for performing the first step of the LASIK procedure.  The use of this laser virtually eliminates certain flap complications.  Additionally, our VISX laser now has been upgraded to provide Custom treatment for a very wide range of refractive errors including: high myopia, hyperopia, and mixed astigmatism. Additional upgrades to the VISX laser platform include IR – Iris registration. Iris registration compensates for rotational eye movement and eccentric pupils.  We have found this feature has further lowered an all ready very low enhancement rate.

Finally we have expanded our refractive facilities by relocating our refractive center in a new independent location down the hall from the office.  By doing this we feel we can exclusively focus on our refractive patients.

If you require patient education materials, personalized post op medication sheets, business cards or other marketing related materials do not hesitate to contact us.  We are also available to provide on-site training to your staff.

We have attached guidelines and forms for your convenience. We are always here to serve you. Don't hesitate to call us (757) 345-1001. We look forward to working with you.
