The 11 questions all LASIK patients should ask.  (But usually don't.)

In the highly competitive world of laser vision correction, there are good, honest surgeons interested only in the long-term health of your vision.

And then there are surgeons who sell laser vision correction like they're running a fast food joint.

How can you tell which is which? By asking the right questions. Or better still, by scheduling a free consultation with Dr. Douglas Cullom.

You see, there's more to a surgeon's experience than the number of "pupils" served. So if you insist on visiting one of those McLasik Centers, be sure to ask these questions.

Aside from seeing Dr. Cullom, the only way to ensure the long-term health of your vision, and isn't that what laser vision correction is really about?

1. Is your price all-inclusive?

2. If an enhancement is necessary, is it included in the price?

3. What percentage of your previous patients have had enhancement surgery?

4. Do you have a monthly Payment plan?

5. Are you the surgeon who will be performing my surgery?

6. What percentage of refractive surgery candidates do you decline?

7. What percentage of patients get to 20/25 or better with one treatment? How about 20/40?

8. Does the center's laser suite maintain consistent and appropriate temperature and humidity guidelines as designated by the manufacturer?

9. Is the laser suite maintained in the same conditions when it is not being used?

10. Does the center operate this laser more than once per month?

11. Is your surgical technician certified?
