EXPERIENCED SURGEON
Dr. Cullom is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist specializing in Laser Vision Correction. After residency, Dr. Cullom achieved the rank of Commander at the Department of Ophthalmology at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. There he developed Portsmouth's busy refractive surgery program. As the primary refractive surgeon, he provided laser refractive surgery to the elite Navy SEAL units.
Dr. Cullom is a practicing partner of the Hampton Roads Eye Associates, and is considered one of the leading LASIK surgeons in the region. As one of the first eye surgeons in the country to have his own vision corrected through LASIK, Dr. Cullom has a unique understanding and appreciation for laser vision correction. Today he serves as Medical Director & Chief Surgeon of Cullom Eye & Laser Center.
DEDICATED SURGERY CENTER
Cullom Eye and Laser Center's Surgery Suite was designed from the ground up for vision correction. A separate air-handling unit allows for strict control of temperature and humidity. This contributes to the high reproducibility of our vision correction results. A large viewing window enables friends and family to observe the procedure, if the patient desires.
