Dr. Mary Ellen Cullom, a Board Certified Neuro-ophthalmologist and comprehensive Ophthalmologist, earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan, where she was valedictorian. She completed her Ophthalmology residency and Neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, recently ranked the #2 Ophthalmology program in the United States by US News and World Report.
Dr. Cullom has been in practice with Hampton Roads Eye Associates on the peninsula for 20 years. She primarily focuses on primary eye care. She concentrates on diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and dry eye syndrome. She continues to see her established neuro-ophthalmic patients for visual disorders related to the nervous system.
Dr. Cullom is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology as well as a member of the North American Neuro-ophthalmic Society. She is an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology.
