R. Douglas Cullom, M.D.
Dr. Douglas Cullom is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist specializing in LASIK Laser Vision Correction. After receiving his medical degree from Vanderbilt University, he went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the nationally recognized Wills Eye Hospital, where he researched and published studies on laser surgery. After residency, Dr. Douglas Cullom achieved the rank of Commander in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. As the primary refractive surgeon, he provided laser refractive surgery to the elite Navy SEAL units.
Dr. Douglas Cullom is a practicing partner of Hampton Roads Eye Associates, and serves as the Medical Director and Chief Surgeon of Cullom Eye and Laser Center in Williamsburg, Virginia. As one of the first eye surgeons in the country to have his own vision corrected through LASIK, Dr. Cullom has a unique understanding and appreciation for laser vision correction and the life changing effect it has on his patients.
